MAN Disease VS The Curse of Eve

Garden of Eden

I’ve been catching a little heat for my frequent use of MAN Disease. I wouldn’t want anyone to get the idea that I encourage male bashing. As you can imagine, Thomas thinks I need to “tell you the rest of the story”. But honestly there was no need to tell on myself and all my soul sisters until it was absolutely necessary.

We came up with the term in the normal way ideas manifest themselves. One evening as we were chatting over an adult beverage on Thomas’ back porch, he was going on and on about how he’s a MAN….I think he was even playing the air guitar.

Like any female backed into a corner I said, yeah, “you’ve got MAN disease” that being all the things about a man that drive women crazy. The list can be rather long so I’ll leave it to your imagination.

Since I score pretty regularly with the comment, it became apparent that I was winning the argument too often. Out of the kindness of my heart, (a worthy female characteristic I might add) I told him about the Curse of Eve.

The Curse of Eve is not something I especially like to talk about. It’s like telling something personal. No it’s not the female cycle (a typical man answer). It has nothing to do with my cooking skills either, (my kids love my chicken and dumplings…..and I‘m pretty good at fried chicken).

No, the Curse of Eve is worse, and BTW (by-the-way), it’s all Adam’s fault.

No sense us women taking the blame for something that was obviously not our fault. After all God gave the manual to a MAN. That’s why women don’t like to read the instructions. Duh! We’ll have to finish this story later.

I’m sure I have some important task that needs my immediate attention (like cooking or cleaning), plus I want to be away from the phone when Thomas reads this. If you feel the need to express your opinion, please be my guest and post it below. Ciao
